What types of DAYZ videos Do YOU like to Watch?

What's up guys! My name's Dave and I run a small Youtube channel with my girlfriend! (hence the username) We are going to start a Standalone survival series. This being said, we know that about 80% of the DAYZ videos on Youtube are survival series episodes. So this begs the question, What do you guys want to see? I've seen so many awesome video ideas, but we need your input! Below I've compiled some video concepts that I thoroughly enjoyed, and I'm sure you have enjoyed as well if you have already seen them! (if not check them out) 

In short we want to know the following:

- Which types of videos are your favorite? (Social Experiment, Cinematics, Comedy/Interaction, Hardcore Survival)

- Who's Your favorite DayZ Youtuber? (Mr Moon ,Mr Blackout, Syndicate, GoldGlove)

- We're doing a survival series: What would you like to see to spice it up? (Should it be Hardcore? Should we try to not KOS ever?)

 

We would love any constructive criticism! Anything in parentheses are just examples, thanks for reading! :)

i dont really care too much for the type of game, what makes or breaks it for me is the voice and the commentary. thats why my favorite youtuber remains John 'totalbiscuit' Bain, i love listening to him no matter what he plays or comments.

I can attest to that. Unfortunately, I hate the sound of my own voice! Though, Natalie helps with that haha, I feel like any woman's voice is easy on the ears!

Tactical first person shoot outs. Tension, suspense, shots from out of nowhere.

 

I might watch the odd funny one or "social experiment" but usually when it is recommended by someone.

 

I prefer 1PP and usually subscribe straight away to 1pp as there are so few of them.

TBH You should be creating videos you want to do and not what other people want you to do.

I agree whole-heartedly man, and I wouldn't play anything I disliked, just because of a recommendation! That being said, I am relatively new, and I'll try anything once! :)

Why thank you  :thumbsup: Most of vids so far I have uploaded are me playing 1PP on reg servers (I am so far behind in my editing lol) but I have finally convinced my team to go hardcore and after a week of pain and jumping back to reg they really started to enjoy it; we play that about 80% of the time now.

 

I am always interested to hear feedback as well, so don't be afraid lol

I love Frankie as well! His videos were the first one's I watched in order to see if DayZ was worth it! (Also, I love your profile picture! ATHF is the shit!)

His vids are typically filled with people (often little kid screachers) fawning over him and its just sad and pathetic now. That and his content isn't all that interesting to me anymore. YMMV

Haha, have no plans on making scripted stuff! I may set up a scenario such as the "social experiment" video above, but what happens after the set up will be raw! lol I've never watched theradbrad really, but I watch Br Blackout religiously! lol I'm gonna post our first vid in the next couple days! I hope you stop by and give us your opinion! :)

Mr. Blackout is probably one of my favorites at the moment, at least for the more serious player videos. I've watched his Diary series from the beginning and his new daily Hardcore series is awesome IMHO. He has a cool voice (no homo lol) and I never would of guessed he lives in Cali but clearly from England. His content and gameplay are also good and I like his subtle editing style mixed with groovy choices of music. Jam Jar being right up there as well.

 

I watch Syndicate and Mr. Moon vids to make my gut bust from laughing so hard. Syndicate for being just some high-strung crazy funny guy and Mr. Moon for his hilarious commentary and how he interacts with players in direct chat. "Affirmative" :D

 

I'll keep an eye out for your vid. Best of luck in your youtube endeavors.
