Right now is the time to battle the cheating issue and wrap it up. I know it will be an on going project to do that but without it Rocket, your mod is going to fail.

And I really don't want to see that happen. It is beyond me why one would want to cheat.

You can say it's for the glory but Arma2 is like swiss cheese andnot very impressive to hack, it's pretty fail cause it was meant to be open. This cheating is just douche baggery and lack of skill/balls.

Maybe they were born without a soul.

Ermm, I have only encountered a single script kiddy in my dayZ carrer that started in 1.6, I think Rocket and Battle eye are handling the hax quite good.

I've been hit by nukes 3 times, I've caught people spawning ammo crates, and, recently, I had multiple tents flattened in the same night, in different areas across the world, and most were completely hidden in trees.

Not to mention all the suspicious times where I was hiding in an area waiting for a player to turn a corner or enter a building, and they came around pre-firing. Maybe I was spotted or heard, but I hear from everyone that hacking ArmA 2 is simple, so I'm sure some of the times were not legit.

Calling them "hackers" is giving them too much credit. SoF used the correct term: "Script Kiddies".

But yes, I've never seen a hacker in DayZ, although I did encounter a nuke on my first day playing. I lost nothing.

EDIT: Wait, yes I have. I got shot in the head when I was wearing a Ghillie, completely hidden by trees, not moving for about 5 minutes. The guy had an AKM.

Yes, but the context was totally BS. That said, that's the only time I've ever called BS on someone in DayZ, so I find that hacking is to a minimum atm.
