Just cropping the bit i want and adding a bit of sharpening,saturation and some backlighting. Sometimes run a deep brush over the back/top half of the image, did so in pic one from the edge of the far shore upwards  :)

If you take the third pic,pretend that it is real and show it to a random number of people that haven't played DayZ/Arma

Your edited images looks far more pleasant to me, I'm a sucker for that kind of ARs, I also like your edits your sky looks quite better. I usually try to do all of this via shaders avoiding any edit when it's possible, if not PS is always a good friend

 

This is my setup for Dear Esther, wish I could make something like this with DayZ
