Different death messages.

I see lots of death messages, especially on populated servers. However, I don't feel that one message for every kind of death is appropriate. I feel that different deaths should have different corresponding messages.

Death by another player: Name was killed. (Basically keep it the same.)

Death by zombies: Name was eaten.

Death by suicide (Respawn, own explosion, fall damage, etc.): Name killed him/herself.

Myself I think all death messages should be removed.

examples :-

How would a player in the north of the map know a player in the south died ?

I know if I've killed a player I shoot at because the server gods told me

I shouldn't know until I check his body.

Same applies in reverse Someone knows I'm dead when they shoot at me cause server gods told him with magic text message.

5 Players on a server and you want to raid an area up north. 4 players die and you know cause of the messages. you know all are south and its clear to raid the area up north.

Removing death messages outright is already a server setting. This is for servers that don't have it turned off.

The server admin should have a way to see who killed who though. We had a guy teleport hacking the other day, and took forever to figure out who killed 10 people across the whole range of the map in 5 mins. We finally figured it out, but what a pain...
