Engraved 1911 writings

Hello fellow survivors!

 

I've been searching for a while now and yesterday I finally found my first engraved 1911. I have to say this thing is a beauty.

 

While looking closely at it though I noticed these writings on the right side.

 

"For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad."

 

We can see some more writings on the other side, but I can see them well enough to try and read them. Anyone know where this come from? And what's written on the other side?

It's a part of the bible. The last bit of the first line and the first bit of the second line are the word "due" :)

 

Google is your friend :P Good find though, looks wicked! Didn't actually realise you could read the engraving!

Thanks for letting me know!! I knew it was from somewhere in the bible but didn't do any research really. I wanted to know if anyone saw this. It's probably what follows next that is written on the other side. Thanks again for the reply!!
