I run slower than everybody else and zombies

I know how the controls work and am sprinting as fast as possible on my toon.

Simple problem when I sprint zombies can run faster and catch up to me. This is with weapon put away running full speed. Same results when I am geared or not. I am also fully healthy and not bleeding/wounded. I cannot escape zombies in a sprint even when they are like half an airfield away.

I am also slower than my friends....they can all sprint faster than me. I would say my friend is at least 20% faster than me.

If possible I would like to fix this issue as being this slow puts me at a huge disadvantage....

I cannot escape most zombies once aggroed....and other players can easily catch up to me.

I play with all settings at max.

My PC can handle it just fine I am using a 780 TI with and intel I7 4770k

You're tapping 'W' twice, right? To actually engage the sprint? If that's failing and people are running faster than you, I'd say it's a network issue.

When I first tried to play the Mod, my graphics card wasn't fantastic and I would get low fps which would cause me to run slower than other people, even at a full sprint, I upgraded the graphics card and it sorted.

 

SA isn't optimized so having an amazing rig is not guaranteed to give you the best performance possible, just give it a test with the lower settings and see if it makes a difference.

I am double tapping ...

I am hooked up to the LAN with next to no ping and the max amount of bandwidth money can buy in my county

I may have to tweak the gfx settings see if that helps...things look so beautiful at max though :(

If your PC is slow, it will make you run slower compared to friends that have a faster PC.

Experienced this a few times with clan members who don't have an uber PC like myself.
