Strange immediate one hit death in different circumstances

 

I want to tell you all about bug or something strange.

First strange death was on the hill near north airstrip. I am just surfed between different servers trying to find server with daytime with not so many players. After spawn on third server I finally found what good server walked about 20 meters from place of spawn, received one hit, and died. First ideas was that it may be a sniper from airstrip but hey….there are no such guns in the game with long range scope to shoot in head on distance about 500 meter. It was so fortunate that I re spawn near place where I was killed by some kind of invisible MONSTER. Moreover I`ve found my body, untouched. Strange that hit was from behind in backpack, all what was in backpack become ruined, chest pistol holster ruined, rifle ruined. Pants, shirt, pistol that was on that moment in hands, helmet, stuff in pockets were not damaged. I’ve grabbed my stuff and run away from there. When I stopped for rest in near forest I’ve heard a zombie voice somewhere near but he was invisible looks like he get stuck somewhere in land textures or something. After running away for few minutes, that voice ceased.

 

Second strange death was in Svetloyarsk. I am survived from attack of 5 peoples…actually 3 of them tried to kill me and two was killed just for safe/security reason. Last kill was in northern wood of Svetloyarsk. Player without weapon chased me from that town and attacked me by fists when I spot her. That player received shot in the chest from Mosin rifle on face-to-face distance and died. May be that player was thinking that I am bluffing and do not have ammo…well he made an epic fail. I am look around for a witness and there was only we two in that forest. After that, I have received strange three melee hits and become unconscious. What was that? Cheat or something? Or some kind of punish for killing of players…I don’t know reason of these two immediate deaths well health player and want to hear answers from developers.

well the lsu can apparently go to 800m, some people are really good snipers.

you might have gotten a lag issue, where somebody got close to you and hit you with an axe but it just didnt show up on your screen cuz you were lagging and you got hit 3 times and were unconscious. kinda like zombie lag.

Long Range Scope is a Weapon Attachment in DayZ Standalone.

Rifle scope with variable zoom. Factory default zeroed to 200m and manually adjustable to 800m.

Heres a mosin kill at 960m, so thats possible.

Invisible zombies have been a known bug for some time.

Random zombie noises are also a known bug, along with random can opening sounds and other ambient noises.

It does sound like desync, sometimes if the server is lagging, it takes several seconds for the server to register hits.

It could also be one of the invisible zombies.

I doubt theres cheating involved.

As said above, in the first death, you could have been sniped.

Also, knowing that the hit was coming from the back, consider that you were in a military area, a hot spot. There could have been somebody behind you when you logged in, it is not that uncommon...maybe a sniper? If you were on a hill...that's where they camp :)

In the second case it is clearly lag combined with poor server performance, you were hit by a punch to the head, but the hit was registered late.

I hope you waited to become conscious again.

well sometimes when i start like a fresh spawn i am instantly bleeding .... noone is there no shoots, no zeds .... xD

1) F*8ck such spawn near other players. If I was killed by other player why I was not looted and not meet with my killer few minutes later on that place?

2) No, I am exit because was unconscious for a long time and cant wait more.

Invisible zombies are angry me. Zombies walking through the walls even more.

1) if his shot hit your gear there's a chance it would be wrecked so he might not have been bothered about it.  Also, if he was in a good sniper spot he might just have been there to get kills and not needed to go through your gear at that point, also consider that fact that a random dead body that hasn't been looted is a primo sniper trap; he just keeps his sights around the corpse, someone spots the corpse and goes over to loot it, BAM: another easy target.
