Killed my first bandit today :)

I am so freaking happy.

Kinda lame bandit though. Me and a friend were in the barracks when we heard footsteps. Some guy used proximity chat to talk to us, asking if I was friendly (my friend was in the bathroom, hidden from them). I was like 'lolnope', because, seriously. Friendly? Barracks? GTFO.

After that he reckons 'well leave or we'll kill you' and I was all just 'bring it'. One entrance. Can't shoot through windows. I have a M14...

And, strangely enough, the guy says he's leaving, or more accurately 'okay, we're leaving'. But I play DayZ enough to smell a trap. So I sprinted for the last room in the barracks, and LO AND BEHOLD, if the little pricks friend hadn't JUST logged in to that room.

He popped out a round or two (lawls, he just spawned and was stuck on 'semi' fire rate) and earned about...maybe five or six rounds to the chest from a M14 for his troubles. I have never seen one character BLEED so much. Looked like a bucket full of water with holes punched in it.

And the sad thing was, he didn't even have NVG for me to steal, and he had an M4. Standard. No special attachments, or nuffink.

Anyhow, after that, I logged out, moved servers. Wasn't gonna lose my shit to some little server-jump abusing morons.

So, to whoever it was on US74 who tried that trick to get behind me? Get wise, mo-fo. Oh, and have fun respawning.

Yeah, the guy who had said 'okay, we're leaving' actually did leave the server. I know he was just going to server-hop to get inside the barracks. I wasn't going to lose my shiny new pair of NVG's to a group of players who use tactics like that to get an advantage.

Sure, I could have stayed prone in the last room, watching the hallway, but what exactly was stopping the guy from spawning in literally on top of me?

If the bandits were playing fair, then my friend, who they had no fucking CLUE about, would have killed any of them that stepped into the building. But they weren't playing fair. I have no qualms about hopping to another server to avoid people who are abusing the system.

Or what, are you going to say 'just because they do it, it doesn't excuse you doing it!'

If someone server hops to gain an advantage on me and my friends, I am not going to play 'fair' out of some sense of 'morality'.
