Can you not shoot through windows?

So I'm sitting in this building grabbing some loots in one of the big cities. (I can't remember which one) and I hear gunshots going off. So I poke my head up and look out the window in front of me. There is a grocery store right across the street from me and I see a guy laying prone looking around.

No idea if he was apart of the shooting, but I decided I was going to shoot him. I had the Enfield on hand. I shot through my window towards him and through the window right next to him. The shot didn't connect. This guy is like, really close. I mean literally right across the street.

So I shoot again, and again, and again adjusting my aim here and there. Nothing.

Is there something happening here that I'm not aware of, or am I just missing?

It's funny, someone was mad that they got shot through a floor a month or so ago, and lots of people piled on about ballistics and how bullets can penetrate this and that.

Doesn't seem like the game/mad is too realistic with glass.

I do not think bullets go through class, sadly.

They go through glass but im not sure about layers.

I killed bunch of guys in barracks who were camping through windows with no problem but it might not work if there are multiple windows.

Certain glass windows... yes.

All glass windows? no.

The window in the supermarket does in fact seem like reinforced titanium rather than an actual glass window. If you look closely it also has a blue color. Most other windows in the game are either CLEAR or not even visible.. these can be shot through.

Window to the hospital is a completely different monster.

This is an old thread, but I'll drop this here anyway. The store glass is glitchy. I've been shot inside the store several times and not been able to hit people outside. However, I've been in other buildings and shot people in the store through the glass in my building and the store.
