It's Rocket's Birthday (HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROCKET!!!) and he chooses to to knock out an update regardless and the man has to request you not send abusive emails???? for SHAME!

It has been amazing to watch ARMA 2 go from obscurity to Steam's top 5 over the past few days and it IS without doubt because of this MOD but sadly this sheer ignorance is a bi-product of it's success.

-TLDR- Rocket dropped a patch for all to try on his bday - and ppl respond with abusive emails? FOR SHAME!

EDIT: I did not once imply that all stupidity comes from COD/BF or that all people that play it are that way inclined HOWEVER the volume of that kind of behaviour is far far greater on those games than ARMA whether you care to admit it or not. That said i took your comment onboard and changed my post out of respect. But don't call me a kid thank you .... i'm not much younger than Rocket.

However it is an alpha and whats the problem with more zombies? its more of a pvp game atm because zombies are low in number [sometimes 150 on EU7] and they are very easy to take out if you run into a house.

I love the idea of mass zombies, maybe people will want to work togeather rather than blow each other appart for there cans of coke and beans.

Anybody who sends abusive emails over a game is an asshat, but seriously, what were you expecting? Rocket deals with the internet and the internet is full of keyboard warriors who ride their anonimity to project their epeen.

If you want to do something positive, send a supportive email. Lets get him to post 'please stop the supportive emails, youre cloggin up my inbox.'

The abusive emails is beyond excuse and need to be dealt with rather harshly, in my opinion. There is a forum right here for that sort of thing.

The amount of threads that have appeared since 1.5.7 is astounding but I'd rather that than emails to Rocket and co. attacking them for their decision, implementations and problems. All I can suggest is that for each update you make, you either start a specific thread - "Update xxx feedback. Post it ALL here." - or a subforum where you delete all the threads and feedback from 4 versions or more ago to keep it clutter free.

I am also getting damn fed up of BOTH sides of the spectrum, not just the over offensive complainers. The "huh we leet Arma 2 players, go back to CoD/BF/Halo (basically, whatever is the new hipster anti-game of choice), rocket RULES, game awesome" are as bad in my eyes as they too are offering nothing constructive and in effect are just fanning the flames.

I think that you should maybe make an announcement thread where you say that even though you thought it was mere manners not to spam your personal email with vitriolic hate, as from now ANY email sent to you that you deem inappropriate will be dealt with by a temp ban, suspension on forum, name and shame or some other such punishment. It should have been taken as read already, but obviously some people need a prod or a good kick up the arse.

Anyway, thanks for the great mod and I hope I can offer my feedback, but tbh after reading the forum and mods/your responses today, I am now a bit scared to actually leave any feedback on any new update as I feel I will get jumped upon by either the main team or your new legion of "YOU SO NOOB!" asshats.

The new patch puts too many Z's into each area. If you like to play alone (and believe it or not many of us do) then we now stand no chance against impossible odds. Seems the devs played to the gallery and upped the Z count without a thought for those who enjoyed the tension, stealth and atmosphere of a reduced zombie count when playing alone - where each and every encounter was a careful play on survival. Now every time you fire a shot you get overwhelmed, regardless. It's pointless even trying.

EDIT: Okay, I see the devs are actually aware of the high Z numbers problem. I hope they can find a way to either bring down the Z numbers again or just slow them down/slow down respawn times... Please remember some of us like to play a 'lone wolf' game of DayZ... we need the odds to be challenging but fun.

Well, i love the 1200 zombies lol, considering theres about 25 towns and 5 major towns/cites i would love to see alot more, i went out to vybor as i usualy do to get the shopping in and all i can say is I WAS SHITTING A BRICK!

Me and my m8 actualy got stuck on the roof because the hoard flooded the school! It was intence! Before the game was pvp with the odd zombie, hopefuly now it will be pve with the odd bandit.

Bummer about the tents tho, there goes everyones "backup supplys" hope to see alot more people grouping up for town runs now, rather than running about with a k.o.s attitude.
