Aiming with iron sights?

Recommended Posts

I heard that when aiming with iron sights, the crosshair is actually above where you'd normally think the crosshair is. Does anyone have any pics to help clarify where exactly the crosshair is?

I have noticed that the iron sites are a little bellow the marker, so aim just a inch lower from where you want to hit, or just aim for the center of the target area

I think it comes from the fact that every gun has 'natural' zeroing to a certain range.. perhaps varies weapon to weapon (i.e. 25m for pistols, 50m for shotguns, 100m for assault rifles, 300m for sniper rifles). If you were really curious, load up a Arma 2 game maker game at a rifle range and test it out with your current gun.

Depends on the range to target, not really something to teach in a few lines.

Go to singleplayer armory and get familiar with the different weapons. Else get this simple shooting range MOD by Murcielago, some very nice features and weapons galore.

ARMA's Iron sights and projectile physics works as in real life.

Just play some tutorials from OA or the Armory in singleplayer or multiplayer mission and see for yourself.

Direct experience is better than words.

Its a realistic sim, "ballistic" relating to projectiles or their flight as how gravity would affect its trajectory.

As posted before go into the tutorials and Shooting-range for first hand experience...
