Server Stats? End to KOS maybe start of working together?

Recommended Posts

Hi been a forum ninja for ages. Just didnt feel I had anything to add.

But hear me out...

If the server itself could some how have stats for it reflected then that server itself would become a sort of community.

If the end game of Apocalypse is to rebuild then say you wanted a car of course you'd have to scrap it together.

Now here is the kicker if you wanted a pristine car(one that wont break down every 15 minutes) you would need to have electricity  so the server would have a stat like Electricity-79hrs (working for) Or train status:running-25hrs

Maybe not exactly how it would work but the concept of a stat system of some kind could work i think? Not for the players of course. Anyone would be free to come t your server and mess it up. But that's why you train a guard dog.

Have I hit a light bulb moment or is it stupid (Im not sensitive but don't be troll pls)

Thanks for taking the time to read XD

People will never ever work together with strangers even if you made them...and if they did they would kill eachother off the moment they have achieved their goal to be the one who gets all the beans.

Nothing will significantly reduce KoS, unfortunately.

Most people are just gear babies, and the others just want to **** with you.

I wouldn't say never.  I myself have worked with complete strangers that I could have killed.  We went on to loot a bunch of places, then went our separate ways.  We even traded a few things.  There are alot of good players out there that understand that teamwork is more important than a kill count, unfortunately, they are all overlooked because of the people that KoS.

It's funny.. every time i read the forum loads of players complain about kosers but when i'm in game just 1 on 20 don't kill on sight (pretty accurate average based on 500+ hours of gameplay) and mostly when they know that are in great disvantage, freshspawned or unarmed, so i immagine lot of players asking on web to not Kos and then when they are back to the game they shoot everything and everyone.

To have people stop kosing i think we need to wait server's whitelist, passwords and some kind of server communities

After the 10 consucutive time i've been shooted by a strangers while i was saying "hello" with my hands up, been shooted by assholes after made some road togheter or by people who say "don't worry, i'm friendly i can shoot you but i will not" just to get shooted few minutes later in my back, i've startet to kill everyone is remotely a threat, for me the only friendly players are the ones on my vocal channel all others will get what they deserve. We say: if the first thing you do when you meet players is pull out your rifle don't complain if our snipers will shoot you down instantly ;)

I for one don't KoS. Unless they fire at me first, I'm friendly.  I will however take you hostage and put you in cuffs while I steal your stuff, and then I release you after I'm done with them.  That is what being a bandit is all about.  Killing fresh spawns on the coast doesn't make you a bandit, it makes you a coward.

There needs to be and should be consequences to killing players, hopefully in the future. I hope they atleast bring back the bandit/hero system.
