Stuck on "Please Wait" and how to get around it

Recommended Posts

So I've been getting stuck on the please wait screen which appears during connection to server. I've found it only happens after I play on a server for a while(like 45 min), then switch to another server, wait for the 30 sec timer, then I get the please wait screen and it stays there forever. To get around this I simply exit back to server list and reconnect to the same server. No more please wait screen. I've only started getting this as of the latest patch.

This is one of the many glitches in DayZ Alpha. The developers currently know about this, but it's not at the top of the list for them to fix. The only currently ways to solve this issue is to reinstall DayZ, restart your DayZ game or exit back into the server list and try to join the server again like you stated. If it is stuck on waiting for the host though, the server is most likely down, but appears to be up. Hopefully this solved your issue.

I find it is only certain servers i get this with, no idea why.

Yesterday i jumped on two servers which got me stuck at the "please wait" screen, but the third server let me right in.

Needless to say, its not added to favorites hehe.

Perhaps some servers are having issue with the HIVE connection again?

Best advice i can give is keep trying until you find a server that works and then add it to favorite, stick to a low amount of "trusted" servers and everything will be a whole lot easier tbh.
