Sistinas1973 50 Posted May 2, 2014 To be perfectly honest, I truely do not believe zombie damage and getting shot are no where close to "stable." Each encounter I have is so wildly unpredictable that I can never guage how damage is calculated, if at all. I think the damage mechanic for everything is still a RNG crap shoot. Sometimes you win, most times you lose. That whole aspect of the game still needs major tooling. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
pillock 850 Posted May 2, 2014 (edited) Slow moving zombie, where do I find of these, mine are all professional athletes, who also excel at long jumps and never stand still. They also manage to hit me from about 5 meters away everyone and then I have been 1-shot 3 times by zombies when on full health, also been 2 shot a few times, had gear ruined occasionally. But the vast majority of the time, zombie hits do nothing at all; bleeding about maybe 1/3 of the time. Doesn't matter how fast the zombies are. You can dance around them, just don't get caught in front of them when they take a swing. Then move in and punch their head. Average for me is about 3 knock-downs, then they're dead. I don't bother with a melee weapon on this version - they're pointless. Shotgun is good if there are several of them on you at once, but you have to run away to a new location pretty quick after they're dead so the endless respawns can't find you. SilverTrowel 5 Posted May 2, 2014 I am not demanding a nerf to Z damage to our toons.I would like to see damage to gear nerfed A LITTLE. I would like to see Z's glitching through walls fixed before they add anymore content or any stronger Z's, then at least we will have certain tools to deal with the issue. Currently they do not loose aggro if you constantly break line of sight which sucks. You can outrun them eventually but as a Bambi, you need to loot food etc and Z's make it too difficult atm. I don't want an easy game, I want a challenge but DAY Z Alpha atm does not allow us to test all aspects of the game correctly because there are too many glitches, exploits and Z problems. Another thing thats annoying me is the night/day thing. The servers don't seem to sync properly with the in game time because I log in to a server that says 2pm and it's pitch black. Also, resets seem to change servers from day to night (And visa versa) instantly.(Please note; I prefer night time servers, it's more challenging) Also, I was on my clan server which was pitch black for 12 hours through 4 resets the other day, thats dumb. These issues should be fixed and tested before more content we cant test is added. Fck helo's, additional weps, motor bikes etc.Just my opinion. I know its Alpha, but imho we need to fix one thing at a time rather than adding other stuff that needs fixing. (I do log out in safe areas but has no one here ever heard of server resets?????? In these cases you do not get an option where you log, figure it out, it aint rocket science) And yes this should have been in the feedback forum, sorry. LimeMobber 47 Posted May 2, 2014 If you have a machete you should be ok if you keep moving in a circle but its just plain ridiculous how many hits they take evenin aiming for the head not to mention when they hit you when your nowhere near them , melee weapons need buffed again . The biggest problem is desync/lag whatever it is called. Sprinting at top speed, zombie a good 20 feet behind me and whack I get hit and start bleeding. Hell half the time when they get in close I just start booking it because they are bouncing through walls, teleporting around me so much that even shooting them is a pain.
