Seattle 34 - Weapon / invisible vehicle spawning - Video evidence, GUID, IP

So we were contacted by someone that we used to play with but parted ways with for various reasons. We have at least touched every gun except for the AT-4 (M136) and the SVD Dragonuv. He mentioned that he had an SVD and a truck so we set up a meeting point and planned to get the gun and get out.

Well we sent someone down and he came "floating" toward the meeting spot. Apparently he travels in an invisible truck that allows him to turn invisible as well if he wants, causing it to appear as if he teleports when he gets out. The vehicle did not flatten terrain or make any noise, and normal players such as myself could walk right through the vehicle when I tried.

When he got out of the "truck" we were understandably confused but when he spawned a weapon crate thats when we decided this was not going to work out and I opened fraps. The man we had forward gathered information and eventually I moved in, which is where the video begins.

You can clearly hear him talking about all of the cheating and how it works a bit, as well as he posted a youtube video about how it is done with links to everything needed which I can private message staff if they want it. Name plates are turned off, yes, but if you watch to the end when we decide we have heard enough we have our snipers take him out and you can see his name in chat right as I turn back when I know it is safe to inspect the body.

We banned and kicked him from the server but he kept reconnecting even though we banned him, so we just kicked him a few times until it appeared he stopped. However on inspection of the GUIDs and IPs one of them matched his and we banned that profile as well but cannot find a way to perma ban him from the server. I will post all of his known information below except for IP which I will PM to staff if they request it.

I would suggest using the PM function next time instead of advertising the cheat to everyone on the forum. You probably helped spread the cheat. I know you meant well but in reality, it probably helped the cheaters more.

When I asked him if he had been doing this for a while, to see if it was linked to a problem where every vehicle randomly disappeared and never respawned, he said that he had started the night before which would coincide with the night you posted the link. So he very well might have gotten it from your post.

Medium length post short, don't post exploits/cheats/hacks/anything bad on open forums. PM them or post in the proper section if there is one, as most forums with a proper section make the threads invisible to everyone except the poster and staff.

It probably was, but the fact of the matter is that you should have notified the admins of this site in private.

It's like when a news channel announces a new deadly drug on the street, I would bet my left nut that drug dealers sales grow 10 fold.

Advertising anything good or bad lures people in.
