shitty low caliber pistol bullets. say you have to be near a fire and have 3 or so tin cans to make one makarov mag, and it takes a bit.

would add another use for fires among other stuff

Either way, it is impossible chemistry. Aluminium is easily oxidised, and extracted from its ore not by smelting but by electrolysis. If you want the crash-course in why this idea is simply unrealistic, chuck an empty beer can into a camp fire and watch what happens, doesn't exactly melt, does it.

And before you suggest to melt scrap metal instead of alluminium, how would you mold the bullets ( let's not forget the casing and propellant charge ), mind power?
