I got a new hard drive and still have my steam id but my character i had for a month is gone with all my precious!!!! Was I supposed to copy the profile files from my old hard drive and paste in new? Thx I am not certain and have not looked but I would bet there are config files client side you wiped that are necessary to find your data on the database for the hive. If the hive does not see them it starts new ones and forces a clean character load to correct the inconsistancy so the game will not crash or error. Just a guess but it seems plausible in my head. Trigger Hippy 176 Posted April 30, 2014 If it's anything like ARMA I think it will create a client-side account file (ARMA ones are in your documents folder). You know when you join a server and it shows a client ID? That's the bit from your computer that tells the hive who you are. It doesn't go off your Steam account. KamiOfKOS 50 Posted May 2, 2014 You can delete all cfg files every time you play, yes you will not see your last played character, but nothing it' s wiped since the player is saved on the hive regular/hardcore. That save it's bound to the steam account.Is that way clear ? Just join a server and the file showing your gear in the main memu will be recreated. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
