Find a better program to record with/improve recording settings in used program

 

What program do you use?

 

In my experience using soemthing like fraps to record in a lossless codec and then encoding the video with avidemux or similar to produce pretty good quality for youtube.

 

Recently I've been using Open Broadcaster Software https://obsproject.com/ to record video. While the quality is not as good as going from lossless to x264. It sure is a lot quicker. Plus hardware encoding!

 

Note: if you do use fraps expect ~4GB per 1.5 minutes or so. Recording at 1080p 60fps.

 

Ah dam man yea i use fraps and this post has confused me a bit as i know nothing about pcs... haha, i just need some sort of program to record with that's going to mean my game runs decent;ly but most importantly that i can record in 720p or 1080p because i have no idea how i would record in even 720p, i don't know how to change it so that it records in better quality *Facepalms*
