Why don't you use A3's engine?

Recommended Posts

Well, isn't it easier to go with the new Virtual Reality Engine instead of ToH's?

Dean is like : Ohh ArmA III ... yeah ... lets rip 80% from the game and keep the bad stuff from ToH so people have something they can complain about. Would be easier to take the whole inventory System , the base engine including Renderer and all optimations and only adding the good stuff from ArmA II / ToH which is really needed.

And when people say ArmA IIIs graphics are to bright ... well thats 5 minutes of tweaking and some color grading and your'e done.

This has been covered a multitude of times. We wouldn't be where we currently are when trying to use A3's engine. ARMA 3 isn't even out long enough for that. When DayZ Development started, ARMA 3 wasn't even released, I don't think even in Alpha-release on Steam.

DayZ wouldn't have been able to base its development off the ARMA 3 engine, as that wasn't eve half finished at the time.

Do your homework before posting rants, please.
