A lot of good those blood bags did you.

Recommended Posts

Got into a 2v2 gun fight and killed the other two. As my buddy and I loot through the bodies, I notice that one of them has upwards of eight blood bags in their inventory. This made me realize something.

Why is it that if a survivor stumbles across some blood bags, he feels the need to take all of them? The typical survivor/two person group will never get out of enough hairy situations to require no more than two blood bags, let alone eight or ten of them.

Stop gimping yourselves by wasting precious bag space. Take no more than two.

maybe they don't want to go back to a hospital every time a zombie bites them?

Good advice. 2 bags and cooked meat should be all one needs to stay alive or get to a hospital.

My friend and I found 6 blood bags in the Berezino hospital the other night. We had the bag space so we took them all. Did we absolutely need all 6? Nah. But why leave decent supplies when you don't have to?

A good amount of players do not only use blood bags when they have been shot , go unconcious and down to 4K blood and survive , but also for mediocre zombie attacks that they can get out of , ones that bring you down to 9 or 8K blood , so you don't have to run around with a desaturated screen for a period of time.

People also load up on mags like they're about to head into firefight with a platoon of bandits.

People collect guns and ammo and Alt F4 out of contact.

People that play Day Z are largely idiotic because we've been brainwashed to "collect things" in games.

Maybe they were a medic pair' date=' out to top off new players' blood supplies.

Yeah, definitely a lot of new players just outside the NW Airfield.

I personally follow the rule of 2 per person in your group. Usually on the basis of you are guaranteed to be harmed in/out of acquiring said bloodbags.

I say, better to have more of something you might not need, than little of something you need, basically you might not need 8 when you get them, but if you go around the the NW airfield exclusively and don't plan on going to hospitals then that its understandable.

A bullet does quite a lot of damage, if you do survive sure you can go cook meat but the amount of blood that is needed is gonna take quite a long time to fill up.

That's what the two blood bags are for. My point is that unless you're in a very coordinated group and you are the designated medic, there is no reason to have more than two blood bags per person. It's very likely that you would not survive more than two situations where you lose a dangerous amount of blood, and for the lesser incidents, cooked meat is sufficient, since animals are very common now.

I've gotta be honest, even though I don't consciously hoover up all supplies, my backpack sometimes looks ridiculous when I check it.

Like today, I killed a cow and needed to make some space for all that meat. Turns out my backpack is full so I take a look at what I can ditch. Turns out I had 10 cans of sardines and 3 of other food, all gathered one at a time from all the places where food was to be found. I also had 3 M1911 mags, despite having a full load in my inventory and only having fired about 5 rounds in 4 days. So I ate all the food and didn't need the meat.

I took it of course and left the spare M1911 ammo inside the carcass to make room.

Some people may also want to prevent other people from getting supplies. It's only a matter of time before it respawns, of course.

I always take what I need for any situation + 1 additional for backup. Saves me a trip after I have to use some supplies.

Items like blood, epi-pens and antibiotics I always take. If I dont need them I drop them where tey cant befound just to keep a bandit from getting them for a few minutes.

I always fill my slots up with everything I can get and then swap out the crap when i find something better. U can always drop things but you can't always pick things up and having a full inventory is useful in those times when u need something and you actually have it.

PHsish..

I always take empty can tins and empty Whiskey bottles and full my inventory with them. Then when another player kills me and loots my body, he only discovers a sad drunkard who died with a belly full of jelly.
