equal graphic detail for all

Recommended Posts

I've searched the forums for this, found nothing.

What about taking out graphics options that let people turn grass and foliage detail off?  I mean, you could say props to the smarter people that turn the detail settings down (less grass and coverage) but then what's the point of the higher settings?

I like having options to tune your FPS and whatnot, but I think all settings should be taken out in which it gives you an advantage to see people easier than someone that wants the game to look better...  You can tune your Anti aliasing and whatnot to for older machines to get fps boost, but do things like grass detail really change fps much?

I just think it would be cool knowing that every player out there can see the same coverage, knowing that you're safe to be unseen or not.  Some type of level playing field as far as a global equal graphics setup.

I also agree, somewhat, but keep in mind that, at least for now, from a distance the grass and foliage doesn't really render much, if at all, so the only time it will really become a camouflage issue is if people are close to you; of course, that might be the most important time to be able to see someone, so it depends on your circumstances.

I agree 99% !

Atleast shadows, grass, ect. I hate when others have an unfair advantage.

BUT, that one percent is for people with lower pc's

Maybe once the game is optimised. As it is, I don't think I could stand my fps being any lower in cities.

Dean has even commented on this subject before.

The finished game wont allow you to turn anything "off" "very low" will be the lowest setting.
