kingbritain 63 Posted April 28, 2014 If, in the real world, an apocalypse occurred, clothing would be much less common due to size difference. For example, if I tried to put on a pair of size ten boots, it would hurt my feet. If I tried a size sixteen, I'd get blisters. I propose a simple clothing-size system for DayZ Standalone that limits the clothes you can effectively use. If you character gets a blister or chafes, s/he walks slower. If your shoes are too large or too small, your ankles will break easier. Thanks for the consideration!-KB
So Sexy 259 Posted April 28, 2014 Too much realism.
BeefBacon 1185 Posted April 28, 2014 No. However, it would be nice to see different shoe types and conditions providing advantages and disadvantages. For example, hiking books should allow faster movement across rough terrain and running shoes should increase movement speed on roads.

Perhaps if you go shoeless you start bleeding (lose one unit of blood per second, making you bleed out in about an hour or so. It would be a way to keep hostages in a certain area, keep them from running away, etc.
xenology 61 Posted April 28, 2014 No this idea couldn't work one too much realism two you might as well add character strength because I doubt a dwarf or midget can carry around a RPG AK or even MG around and also theyd be too small to fly or drive certain vehicles not to mention how long it'd take to make this. Trigger Hippy 176 Posted April 28, 2014 Too much realism. Aye. Devs should be working on critical stuff like making button-holes in collars so we can wear a flower like a proper sir.

Element47 2481 Posted April 29, 2014 (edited) i cant say its a bad idea, its something to consider for a later stage. adding another layer of 'difficulty' finding that really good gear? sure why not. Too much realism.i presume you want just ammo-packs and health-packs? the gun nuts would go.. well.. nuts if we had one-size-fits-all ammo packs - so we have different types/sizes of ammo, fitting the weapon we use. with the survival aspect getting (finally) more emphasis along the road, proper clothing is at least as important as your weaponry - so let us have to find the perfect fit instead of one-size fits all. Trigger Hippy 176 Posted April 29, 2014 Still not receiving any CONSTRUCTIVE criticism... You did. Too much realism and a desire for too much detail kills fun. That's pretty clear criticism of your idea.
