Soulless (DayZ)

FPS Helper

Recommended Posts

I'd guess it's not in the spirit of things, since it will make players easier to spot. There is also this issue:

- Wildlife removed from Chenarus and Utes

Which will at the very least remove your ability to hunt, and may screw with DayZ in other ways. I'd pass on it.

*EDIT*

Also this from their notes:

- More visible to AI (untested)

To really increase FPS, lower the 3d resolution to the lowest. Open your video settings and 3d resolution is right there in the basic settings on the bottom right. It's like changing your resolution for the game really low without actually changing your resolution. It just changes the resolution of all of the textures really low instead.

Yea that wildlife part would really fuck you over likely. The zombies in DayZ are based off of wildlife (animal) AI and are essentially animals on the basic coding level rather than human NPCs. A mod that removes wildlife may cause zombies to become invisible as well.

It doesn't look like this actually modifies a file, but introduces a new one? If it does modify a file you would probably just be kicked from the server for running with modified game files.

Just wait for 1.7.2. No (I really hope so) more FPS issues for "lower" end computers.

You should not install any other mods other than DayZ. Everything else could screw you over in regards to joining a server or your gameplay.
