I want to help to translate DayZ to german.

Hello,

 

i have seen, the game is half english and half german. 

 

If I play with friends, they ask almost every 5 minutes about a meaning.

 

Is there a way to help with german localisation? I am native german. I live in north of germany, ready to help in translating issues.

 

For example if you create a character, there are two buttons below. they are labled "zurücksetzen auf" and "zurück" it means for us germans "reset" and "(go) back" 

 

I wondered if I tried to set a new character and clicked on "zurück" (back) and nothing was changed after joining a game. The reason was, that I thought "zurücksetzen auf" means to reset all choosen clothes to default. 

 

So as we can see there is a lot of fix and to translate. So if there is a way to help, do not hesitate to tell me.

 

By the way: My suggestion for the "zurücksetzen auf" button in the character creation menu is "übernehmen". It is like "accept" for us germans, so better so understand.

there already is an official translation team for DayZ - currently that's not the main focus, though. If you feel like you can contribute, feel free to send a message.
