Ovomaltine 30 Posted April 23, 2014 Hi guys, I noticed there is no reduction in visual sway of the barrel/sights/crosshair/aimpoint as soon as u deploy you bipod when you are in prone position.Actually the sway should be reduced to nearly absolute 0 because the rifle lays on the ground and the only thing that would move it, is actually pulling the trigger. And every sporting shooter knows that. But when aimed on one spot, there should be no movement at all with the bipod deployed! So far there are 3 intensity levels of sway, afaik, standing vs. crouching vs. prone. But prone & bipodded needs to be the 4th and lowest intensity. Please implement as fast as possible.Thx!
Ghostflux 100 Posted April 23, 2014 It's a non issue since you can reliably hit people at 500 meters while crouching. They should implement it, but there's bigger fish to fry in the alpha.

gibonez 3633 Posted April 23, 2014 While this may be true, the effort required in implementing it would be minimal and worthwhile. True but they should just go for fullblown weapon resting mechanics instead of the lazy method of just reducing sway when the bipod is out.
Katana67 2907 Posted April 23, 2014 I think a re-tweaking of the current bipod mechanics, the addition of a "natural" support system as in ACE, and a craftable/deployable set of shooting sticks would make for a great overall "supported shooting" mechanic. http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/187485-supported-shooting-how-should-it-be-done/
