Rick1633 136 Posted April 23, 2014 Has anyone else noticed that heroes have no shame in ghosting? I never have seen so much ghosting on a consistent basis than when you kill a few people when my friends lock down an area and the dead players probably complain to friends/heroes because every night we see highly geared players magically spawn right behind us minutes after almost half our kills. Its fucking ridiculous. My friends and I get greatly immersed, locking down areas by interacting with people who roll through.... Soemtimes we kill if they ont follow simple commands.... But we play legitimately without ghosting which is cheating. So to all the so called heroes who ghost in behind players using cheated intelligence to pathetically try and get the drop on peope who legitimately killed your friends or random people on your server........ They join the "friendly" servers so they might find these friendly people and easily kill them. Most of the people that join these servers and actually expect people to be friendly aren't expecting the first person they run into to shoot them in the face. CJFlint 357 Posted April 23, 2014 This happens all the time it seems. People could be on TS together and tell a friend exactly were to spawn in. It is an issue. I saw this last sat when we took over an apartment bld and began getting in fire fights. The next thing we knew people started spawning inside the building all at the same time. Here's the thing though, until the devs fix this and yes it is up to them. It will continue to go on. Same with any other game exploit. What I think should happen is there should be zones were you log in. So when you log out, the next time you log in you go to the nearest log in zone. Or something like that. I was talking about little bitches who have to ghost in order to play DayZ. What my friends and I do are all immersive and legitimate ways to play. Half the people here want to barricade doors in the game. I wouldnt even camp that much. So you just insulted the entire forum by claiming that staying in town for a while is dumb. Its part of the game. And we kill most of the ghosters.... It just ruins the immersion. Thats what i hate. For example, why use binoculars if half my enemies ghost in on me.... Never said anything about your playstyle being illegitimate, what I said was, you sound like another kid/man/woman/what ever complaining about being caught slippin', odds are you are getting killed for sitting in the same place every other player sits in to snipe/camp/assault. How long has this map been in rotation? since 2009? People know where to look for people by now, and if you are getting killed in a building with only one enter/exit then you probably deserve it for not hearing the tell tale click-clack of a player loading in. AND ANOTHER THING Never said staying in town was dumb, I said staying in town where OTHER PEOPLE tend to stay in town is stupid. ALSO Have you confirmed its a 100% ghost even once? Dreypa 98 Posted April 23, 2014 It takes almost 10 minutes to ghost (logout from yours -> new server (60s-300s) , reposition time (15s-120s) , logout and into original server (180-300s) ) , you probably just shouldnt camp a single location that long. Its how my groups prevent getting ghosted. Plus in experimental, you can get upto a 1280s spawn timer if u hop too much. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
