i think it would e a good investment to add a fishing pole into the mod so you can fish for food near the lakes and ocean

I really like that idea. You would still need a fire to cook the fish, but you could find a number of interesting things from the ocean or a lake/pond. Not just food.

This shouldnt be too hard to implement unless you want to add a mini fishing engine... But just like gathering wood and filling a water bottle. The fishing poll could add fish to the inventory. +1
