hitt0r 78 Posted April 15, 2014 I chased 2 guys in the woods from berezino mound north in the woods (coordinates 130, 047). they both stopped lay down and then sunk into the ground and proceeded to shoot from underneath the ground. has anyone else seen this ? is it a glitch? apart from that i love berezino being the new elektro! tiadashi 262 Posted April 15, 2014 I believe its to mimic grass concealment from a distance - not 100% on that though
Zedertone 378 Posted April 15, 2014 Maybe desync? I've never saw it before.

Caboose187 (DayZ) 3036 Posted April 15, 2014 (edited) It could be the same thing as watching someone walk through doors and gates before they open, or through stairs and all of a sudden they are upstairs. Edited April 15, 2014 by Caboose187
nexventor 429 Posted April 16, 2014 I believe its to mimic grass concealment from a distance - not 100% on that though It's this. Because high grass isn't rendered any further than a couple of hundred meters the create the sinking body effect. It's not a bug it's a feature. Not a great solution by any means but I doubt highly they will fix it.
ZomboWTF 527 Posted April 16, 2014 This is a feature to simulate grass concealment on distance, since no PC can render grass on 800 meters, this is pretty necessary and actually an awesome mechanic, else you would be WAY to visible when the enemy players grass render distance is over
Daemonkid 493 Posted April 16, 2014 Had this a while back, I was told it was a PC issue. I didn't think it was, but this doesn't always seem to work with everyone. My old computer doesn't do it, my newer one did. But ,my buddies computer doesn't do the sink in ground at extended ranges. No idea why, it sometimes works as intended, others not. But I don't really know
