ghasteater100 5 Posted April 15, 2014 (edited) So, currently headgear that is hard protects us a little bit, motorbike helmets stop blows to the head, ballistic helmets stop bullets in the head, they definitely serve a purpose. Therefore, maybe if someone were to punch a very hard helmet such as a ballistic helmet, it could cause an effect to the one who punched it, such as a fractured hand or maybe just a bit of blood lost. This could stop newspawns killing fully kitted out players by knocking them out(it's really annoying when it happens to you). Motorbike helmets and hard hats are made of plastic which probably wouldn't hurt that much if punched so I don't think it should hurt the puncher there. Just an idea. I wouldn't say blood loss, but definitely pain, shock, fracture, loss of accuracy, diminished melee damage, and possibly the inability to properly hold things or use items could all be side effects of punching people and things all willy-nilly. Man, I wish there was a grappling system in this game. Imagine running up to somebody and putting them in a choke-hold while your buddy stabbed them or something. If you were to punch a ballistic helmet irl, your hand would be pretty shaken up. I think something like the inability to punch for a few seconds after due to light shock would be a nice feature.gosh dern helmets, blocking our fists and shagging our flashlights.
