Food parcels

Have started to leave food/weapon packages for new spawns on the coast. Lately I have been picking up loads of food/weapons and have decided that rather munch and run I am leaving packages along the coast in random houses. There might be 4+ tins of food, some fluids and a melee weapon. These are obviously only on the servers I go on, so if you stumble upon a gift it may just be from me.

Unfortunately, trying to find a friendly one is like trying to find unicorn. The moment you approach one, they either run away or run at you with their fists out.

They haven't succeeded yet, but it's not for lack of trying. I had one group of 3 who I warned of a sniper further down the road shooting newspawns call in a fully geared friend to hunt for me, I know this because the guy walked 5 meters behind me and didn't see me, before I taught him some 7.62x39mm etiquette.

I'm sure it will honestly, I only use 3pp for messing around when my friends aren't playing, so if they get all my gear I won't exactly be broken up about it.

 

It wouldn't be fun without the risk though, would it?

Same here, hardcore is far, far better... but when my characters been operating with friends and all our characters are logged off in the same place, sometimes I don't want to risk messing up the next nights game by getting myself killed or running 10 miles away, so I use the 3pp hive to keep myself amused till my friends are playing again, that way we can all get killed together.

Maybe, maybe not. It was in a fairly high-traffic area for bambies... 

The uncertainty of not knowing whether it was or wasn't found is part of the enjoyment I suppose...

And that is why I have started to do this and post server + location at the time the package is left.

Would be great if one day someone posts that they found it and it helped them, but if not just knowing it could have brings some satisfaction.

After all the game it's about survival :)

Give a man some food, you fill his belly for a day. Teach him to kill snipers, you fill him for a lifetime. Food is so easy, even easier if you move away from the coast. It's a weird game right now. We are sandboxing, but we try to make little games to keep the fun alive. The problem here is the servers reset every few hours. Even if people are reading your posts here, the chances of them getting to your parcels are slim. I applaud the effort in keeping yourself busy.
