Dayz SA server requirement

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I just had a couple of questions about the hosting server for the SA. I was just thinking about that in the future, hosting our own dayz server on a dedicated server and those a my questions :

- What do you think dayz will required for a server to host like 50 player ? (Intel Xeon E3 1245v2 3.4 GHz+ is it enough ?)

- Is dayz server will be able to be host on a linux server ? (Please god say yes...)

I don't want to host a server now, but in a year or so... maybe.. :)

Thanks for you answers

As far as server requirements, i think its way to early to say anything, especially with some of the engine optimization they have planned for the server.

Any "good" server box, which can run an Arma server, should be able to run DayZ however, i doubt it will require much more then Arma in the end.

As far as Linux server goes, Arma does support Linux, so theres a chance BI will want to make DayZ support Linux aswell, serverside ofc :)

But so far we cant do much else then speculate about this tbh, nothing is "set in stone" hehe.
