greasmonkey 2 Posted April 8, 2014 (edited) In Dayz I want to be able to put bullets on a stove and have them go off after a fixed period of time to create a distraction/diverstion, so I can make loud noises as a distraction to allow escape or flanking. Also, timed explosives or trip wires for gernades would be useful if implemented correctly. Similar to but with a smaller/cooler fire so it takes longer for them to go off Also Edited April 8, 2014 by aloned
Dancing.Russian.Man 1631 Posted April 8, 2014 Are those people in the first video just a little stupid?Let's throw a handful of bullets into a fire. What could go wrong? On-topic, though; Yes. Both of those would be neat, though bullets on a stove is probably less likely to happen than traps with tripwires.
AnyoneInCherno? 187 Posted April 8, 2014 Maybe. Seems like it might take to long to do. But hey, i've never thrown ammo into a fire soooo...
Crazy_Spider 235 Posted April 9, 2014 Those guys are stupid. All it takes is ONE fragment to hit you in a vital area, and boom, you're severely injured.
AP_Norris 1018 Posted April 9, 2014 I wanna see anything you could rig up in real life easily. So yes, put ammo into some embers and get to about 15m and down to reduce shrapnel damage to a level it won't hurt you too much if you are even hit. Each bullet should throw off 1-3 bits of stuff that could do as much damage as a hammer under 5m.Catch a group around a fire off guard and you could actually have a very scary (not extremely lethal distraction), a piece of shrapnel to the head might knock you out, and they might cause bleeding.Could be a very good way to scare someone if you have some loose rounds and no gun.I was thinking about 5.56 rounds BTW.7.62x39 and 7.62x54R should be even crazier.More rounds = better effect. teapot156 79 Posted April 9, 2014 (edited) Throwing small arms ammo into a fire really isnt that dangerous, the casing usually flies off with minimal velocity. Shotgun shells on the other hand are a different story. Gotta say no to this suggestion, there's already enough ways to kill someone in the game.
