DayZ Hacking and Cheating: What to know

We have seen an up-rise in illegal actions on this game mode recently, so I want to make a list of behavior and actions tied with these suspicious players so others can identify them and stay away from them, as well as help get rid of them for everyone's sake.

This is list will be generated off of what we have all seen in games, so please post and add your own experiences to the list. I will update it as I can.

What CAN they do?:

Teleportation, anywhere.

ESP on players, and items. They can and will find your tents and cars.

Invisibility (Both with their persons and name plates)

Item, Vehicle, and NPC Spawn

Item duplication (Also a known non-hacking glitch)

Server-wide messages.

Server-wide nuke/mass murder. Destroys tents.

Script-driven means to KICK players from servers.

Invinsibility/God Mode

You can change your characters appearance to look like a zombie in the profile options.

Far be it from me to stifle your enthusiasm for anti-cheat, but the voice of reason in me obligates me to point out that "ESP on players, and items" is very very difficult to prove... seeing without being seen is an art form to some players, and if you've ever ran with a mate in a ghillie suit, well, it makes you damn near invisible. Also, accidental item duplication is possible due to the alpha nature of this game... I've had a hatchet clone before, don't know how exactly I did it, but the inventory system is conducive to this sort of thing.

Anyway, that's my 2 cents, carry on.

Based from what I've seen on these forums according to majority of dayz community anyone that has better gear, vehicle, more days alive, or puts down wire fences is a hacker, duper, glitcher, exploiter and so on.

Oh you're very right, but my thread is to target what a hacker can do in this game. Research *** or any sort and witness in game personalities that are not playing properly. We've had people TP right onto our camp, kill us, be invisible, know where our hidden gear is and get away with things. They do have ESP, not all, but it is possible.

My goal here is to highlight what I or others have witnessed from actualy illegal activity. I'm well set off in the game, and don't cry hacks for no reason. Some things can be fishy but they aren't. I'm talking proper cheating, not carebares bitching that they sit in Cherno for 2 hours and get killed because they didn't move.
