Binoculars make you run faster?

I was making my way to the air field up North in the hopes of finding a better gun than my revolver. I had some binoculars, so I decided to scout the area before entering, since there would likely be some gun crazy bandit running about.

I didn't have a clear line of sight of the tower, so I decided to run a little bit until I could get a better view. While I was crouch running, I noticed that I ran a lot faster with binoculars in my hand. It doesn't work with prone, and I rarely stand up anymore so idk about that, but I might use this more often when traveling great distances.

Just thought this was interesting and decided to share. :)

Yeah, it's a glitch. I think they're fixing it in the next patch, not sure though.
