"Wait for host" taking forever?

hello all. Today i was playing for awhile (Like 2 hours, if that's a lot) and well i decided to take a break. I logged out and then after some time i came back, tried a server and it was stuck on "Wait for host". I was waiting for about 5 minutes and even 10 minutes and nothing spawned. Luckily I am able to press esc and it takes me back to the server screen.

 

What do you guys think i should do? (ps love the game)

How I've gotten around Wait for Host:

 

I wait for a few moments (about 30sec-1 minute), and don't press any buttons. Then, if no player list or Battleye text has popped up I simply press ESC. Rejoin the server, if it does it again, I repeat. Every time I've done it on about the 3rd try it loads in about 10-30 seconds.
