Any modern boom mic cuts down on any outside noise.

 

 

What do you not understand about mic static? And it's impossible to completely cut down all outside noise.. Boom mics reduce white noise such as fans/ambient noise.. They won't filter out the sound of someones door being pounded on, pots and pans clanging in the background, or some 13 year old kids mom/dad yelling at them, or the dog barking.

It is nice that you keep addressing that issue but ignore the real one

It is literally a 3 click to change the MIC to Line-in and then set your VOIP tool to the dedicated hardware mixer.

No extra hardware needed and all you would achieve is that ingame voip will be disabled in favor for external tools.

 

So forcing the MIC open in game will ultimately just kill ingame voice.

Well would you believe it, I actually turned the walkie talkie on and after around a hour someone spoke. A nice gentlemen from Sweden {his english wasn't the best but after while i could figure out what he was saying} anyway we met up and helped each other out, walked away and gave each other a little wave on going on out separate ways. Will be using the walkie talkie more often now

better get a shit load of batteries then! if you have had it on for over an hour your battery should be dead, they just drain them..

had a friend who decided to start a fresh and he gave me 2 batteries that he had spare...that guy has everything...i think he might have a problem where he hoards everything XD

I don't deny that TS is "meta-gaming".. But I think it's necessary.

 

In game VOIP is still rewarding.. but it's not very good for working with other people.. How are you going to deal with two friends spawning in completely different places who want to meet up? Are they just going to have to run around aimlessly until they manage to run into one another?

There comes a point where you ask yourself is it worth the hassle.

 

Lots of ACE servers kick you out if you don't run the game on their TS server with ACRE on.

 

Private hives forcing acre and Teamspeak would rock in dayz.
