Mr Sinister 167 Posted March 28, 2014 Stick to official servers. Going in ones called "dayz high loot 2 hour resets" most likely wont be connected to the hive. Ones like Dayz GB 1-125 hosted by multiplayer gameservers.com are. Even the Day SA servers we had this trouble on. Ninja_Meh 115 Posted March 28, 2014 but from the developer himself all the servers are hived, there is no private hives, and i beleive the settings to be able to increase your loot rate is all legitamitely in the settings for server set ups, iv had no issue changing from one server one day to a different server on another and character all in tact, i have however lately had "you are dead" screens literally just happen, no desync, no lag falling from buildings im on top of, no player shots, no one hit wonder zeds, just straight "oh well you got all the way to the new parts of the northern map area and for your reward heres a kick in the nuts" if anything it sadly falls down to that "alpha brah" argument of shit bugs that have no sensible reasoning. it also seems to happen most after server resets, quite often this has happened to me when at first i thought i had desynced and been kicked for no response to then find the server i was in empty so clearly reset, only to then log in at coast, not move, log out, log in wait 300 seconds, still no gear, log out, try another server (which incidentally once or twice fixed the shit) but for the most part it just happens for fuck knows why and really fucks me off too. in fact in the last 2 weeks i qwould say the random character reset bug has afflicted me more than 5 times and the argument of unofficial servers doesnt cut it, as they are all officially linked to the public hive (dean hall and hicks have confirmed this ;dean made it clear before the game was even made sa that this would be the case in the beginning and dependant on the anti hackness of the new battle eye stuff may be the ONLY option, he did not guarantee private hives would even be available) and hicks in reply to someone asking where the privates were said all servers are currently linked to public hive and so on. its just basically fucked and means you should never get attatched to anything dayz gives you, as dayz will happily taketh it away in the same breath Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
