Loads of loot. But no guns?

I just finished a 3 hour session. And i managed to sneak past every zombie pretty much. Never aggroed a single one.

The thing that was really rustling my jimmies was that i didn't find one single gun. I had nearly all types of ammo in the game. I even found Mountain Dew(not sure how rare it exactly is) But, no guns.

Are they that rare? or is my luck that shit?

Funny thing though is towards the end. Some guy called my name on direct chat and i went up to him. He shot me in the face and told me "not to trust anyone" I fucking lol'd.

Where did you spent those 3 hours?

After spawn run straight into city, hit supermarket, all enterable houses, fire stations and if you're in cherno go to military tents.

Here's what I've figured out arming myself.

First off, all the little towns like "Kamarovo" are just useless to try to get armed. Too many new players coming into the game right now and all going for those first buildings they see along the first road they see and they're stripping those places bare like locusts.

Second, you'll find out that any time you see a little "village" with like 6-8 houses etc and you're thinking "ooo loot" it's just a dirty trick because most of them you can't even enter them and even if you can there's nothing and it takes forever to get in there because there's so many zombies. Any kind of normal house just ignore.

The key is farmhouses inland (the gray $ buildings along roads a little inland). Generally they have like 4-5 little piles of loot, and nearly always at least one weapon a lot of times shotguns and rifles. And that comes at the risk of maybe 2 zombies in the vicinity. Way better than hanging along the coast. "Farmhouses" don't look like normal barns either. They're like huge triangular buildings not the classic round-roofed barn.

That's the only way I've found right now to start a game and nearly always get a gun before I die.

Before you desperately try looting farmhouses for a gun, go to nearly any industrial building and get a hatchet. If you already have on in your toolbelt, open your inventory, right click on the hatchet and select "Remove from Toolbelt". Now you have a stealthy weapon that often one shots zeds and will make it much easier to loot those barns and residential buildings with zombies around and inside them.
