Group System

  1. 1. Should there be a party group system?

Hello, would anyone be interested in a group system where the player(Party leader) can invite people and can identify there own friends as they travel together? Maybe a (small) arrow with the distance displayed in meters when you and your friend are distant from one another or should we just keep it legit like how it is?

Wow that was fast. No, it's not WarZ but by having that group system makes it so?

I voted no at this point.  I think its lowest priority - plenty of ways to get sync'd up at this point outside of taking developers eyes off of other valuable items.  I'm not saying its a terrible idea in late beta, I'd be open to exploring it, just not anywhere close a priority now.

I love it when you are hunted by a group and the FF eachother because they have bad communication.

I'll try to explain my point of view on this topic as simple as possible: Everything that you don't have in real life, should have no place in the UI (Well the hotbar system has to be there (or some kind of) to make it playable). When you go out with your friends, do you see a green arrow above their heads through buildings and trees with a distance?

Well, maybe if there are some kind of google glasses. Working. And a working satellite....hm....still wont work out ;)

It would be a very useful feature. But I feel it should be realistic to a point. Maybe when the GPS is in there could be GPS transponders that work on a set bandwith that a group could use to show their postions on the map.

A magic green icon (or whatever on-screen cue) above your squaddies head would just break immersion.

Edit: LaughingJack beat me to it.

To be clear, I'm completely opposed to any form of icons above players in game.  Period, no thanks.  I'm referring to a way to link up in game, via menu, not in open view on the screen.  Friendly fire is an important aspect of this game - don't need any cheat way of identifying each player and their location in game.
