mp buttstock badly damaged or standard worn?

Recommended Posts

Pretty much the title says everything, I am playing on experimental hardcore and there is quite a race for items, so I have to choose between those 2..

Anyone has experience which one is better?

MP buttstock supposedly reduces your shot dispersion, so full-auto or bursts are supposedly more accurate. same for the handguard.

Ok but I wanted to know if a mp buttstock badly damaged is superior to a standard buttstock worn condition?

If it was me, I'd take it.  Or an SKS, honestly. No shortage of those, and they're pretty darned powerful.

But they're also hideously inaccurate beyond like 200m.  Or at least they were before .42 hit, haven't used 'em in the past week or so.

I've heard the non-MP m4 parts were ninja nerfed to and even more pathetic point this patch, so chances are even poor quality MP parts are vastly superior to the standard parts.  Only way to really know for sure is to test 'em both out though.

ok thank you :) mhm don't like the sks because of its inaccuracy beyond 200m and i found a pristine acog...

when i come across some more ammo and not only 0/30 magazines i will test it a little...

You have to zero your sights.  It's only inaccurate because you're forgetting to range your shots.  I made a shot on a kid running across the street at 350 meters with one shot.

This is not the case.  Even when appropriately zeroed the SKS's accuracy is unpredictable beyond a certain distance.  I'm not saying it's impossible to hit people beyond 300m, however the dispersion can make it quite unreliable in engagement windows which it should really shine.

I've never had a problem hitting what I was aiming at with the SKS.  I'll admit that the M4 is a pretty effective zombie killer with its hi-cap mags and crazy attachments, but it just doesn't have the punch I want.  Which sight systems do you usually use for either gun? PU or iron sights?   iron, RDS, BIS, ACOG?

Not sure if you were directing this question towards me, but I'll just assume you were!

I haven't been using the SKS or the m4 lately.  But in the past I wouldn't even bother with an m4 unless I had MP parts for it.  I'd usually use the RDS, or a BIUS(whichever I end up finding in decent condition), though I don't mind using the ACOG either.  I generally use the PU scope with the SKS unless I'm certain I'll end up in a close-range engagement.

I loved the SKS when I first picked it up, however the first few fire-fights I ended up in while having it were <100m, so the dispersion wasn't really noticeable at that point.  After using it as my 'go-to' gun for a week or two, I started to get annoyed by missing shots that I felt pretty certain were on-point.  It's still a far cry from the laughable accuracy of a non-MP m4, but for now I'll stick to a Mosin whenever possible.

I usually stick to the mosin too as my character progresses, I just like the m4 when starting because I feel safer when searching for lrs. it happened more than one time I ran into people that didn't want to talk at nwaf and its more likely for me to get out alive with m4 at closer range.

So btw I did my testings and came to the result, that impacts didn't render past 100m or so. Could be due to heavy rain or something wrong with experimental, 2 days ago I could see my mosin shots hit the ground past 800m on stable and I didn't change my setting
