MrMike_1981 17 Posted March 21, 2014 With all these problems with Dsync on larger servers and the waiting for host nightmare everyone seems to be having, be smart. I have had several clan members log in dead due to zombies beating the tar out of them while they are loading into the server, since the zombies have gotten more aggressive and spawn all over the place be very mindful on where you log out at. The best place and where I find a good spot is in houses or buildings at least on the second floor. DO NOT log out in fields or anywhere outside or you might log in dead because the server lag we are experiencing with battleye problems. I mean sometimes it takes several minutes for my clan mates and I to get through the please wait or waiting for host screen to come in to a flashing white screen...arm broken...leg broken...you are dead and you couldnt even see it happening. SO log out upstairs, DO not log out outside... Also, the only problem I see is when server resets and since most of the time you don't know when it could reset with you in a bad place. Before the zombies were kinda tame and you could log out anywhere and the chances were that you were in and loaded up before zombie gets a few hits on you. Now since you bleed just about each time your hit , you die much faster and since BATTLEYE is broken at the moment, don't trust log out locations...My advice join servers where you know when reset time is so you can get to a safe location prior. I'll be running around looting and my friend will say that I'm being punched by like three zombies - totally different from what I see on my screen. Relog to find I'm either greyscreen or dead. Forrelist 236 Posted March 21, 2014 A good indicator that I'm starting to desync is when I can't open doors, or press v to vault. I usually try and logoff when I notice this. We'll just have to wait for this Hotfix in the meantime, I can't play with the current build at all.I play on my server, I know when restarts are and since its a lower pop server I have no problem connecting.....seems that when there are more than 16 ppl in servers it causes battleye fails. I think before they add anything else in this game they need to fix this problem with spawning in dead. I don't understand why they are adding all this stuff but the game still has a lot and I mean a lot of glitches (ie. falling out of buildings just by pulling out your scope, or falling through floors). It's even more important now with semi-dangerous zombies. Adding a feature for a fixable bug is going a bit too far and it's unnecessary. Not only that, but I could see how this could potentially become abused by the people who decide to log out in military bases and airfields. Spawn protection was terrible in BF3. SuPaFuNk 30 Posted March 21, 2014 (edited) Me and two of my good buddies played for 7 hours on stable branch last night. We each experienced 1 lost session and occasional heavy desync. We do not logout, we keep running or if inside find a door to test. Once shit synced up again it was usually an hour or more before the next desync/lost session. nl 986 Posted March 21, 2014 When I suggested spawn protection I wasn't only thinking about it as a solution to a bug that will most likely be solved. It can also protect against other players when there is network latency and think about a rebirth spawn where YOU don't decide where to spawn but there may still be a zombie or a spawn killer.
