Jex 1104 Posted March 20, 2014 So yesterday my mate is waiting for me to catch up and get to Balota so he's in the jail building next to the ATC for about 20 minutes before our other friend shows up and joins him in the upstairs corridor. With his arrival, he goes afk as he needs to use the toilet. Not a minute later and my mate who's guarding him starts telling me he's getting shot at and thinks our other friend is down. I can't do anything I'm a klick away. So as our mate is afk, and he's taking rounds and bleeding, wondering where the hell the shooting is coming from, he disconnects and logs into another server and manages to bandage himself up. I make it there, check the building they were in, no bodies, check all the buildings and he's nowhere around. So I go back and check where they were and unless the guy climbed a tree, I couldn't see where you could get shot from leading me to suspect someone glitched through like a cheating little prick. So rather than update the map with new things, wouldn't it be more prudent to fix the object clipping on what's already in there? I thought I heard the recent update addressed some of this seeing through buildings but obviously not this building. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I've never seen an official statement that the wall glitches were fixed; only that collision and other things were being worked on that among other things would help fix this in the future. No official statments on the wall glitch becouse it was stealth fix operation. Just like many other stealth fixes, like new .pbo exploit for exemple etc. Officially wall glitch never existed. They may have fixed the main one, however you can still glitch under the first hangar and end up under the floor/able to pop up and shoot in the hangar. It's less convenient for the exploiters though. Baby steps. Rumors says that wall glitching is still possible. Offcially it is fixed. I myself haven't managed to wall glitch *yet* I am not entirely convinced that it has been. I was on Olsha spotting and watched as a player was furiously jumping at the wall and then vanished. From the distance I was at, I can't be 100% sure that he managed to get in but there is a possibility. ALTHOUGH, if you are able to still glitch look through walls I assume it's still there. Did you think about what you were going to write before you wrote it? One, it's irrelevant that he went afk (presumably you sit on a potty when you play do you?) and 2 are you saying you like sucking up to cheaters by letting them get away with what they do? Fighting your way out of where exactly? To the invisible invincible player herp derp? What exactly were they meant to fight? Come on oh brilliant Dayz player let's hear your words of wisdom here. Quit camping inside buildings and use a more tactical approach. The one guy taking a shit while his body is in a high traffic zone deserves whatever he got. Not the brightest bulb in the box.
