Allow full on sprint with pistol.

I think the full on sprint so be just as fast as regular sprint when you have a pistol out.  So, basically instead of running with both hands on the gun.  The player runs with the pistol in the right hand.  Normal jogging should still have both hands on the gun.

 

I think this will give the pistol a more balanced role in the game.

I've been thinking about this too...

 

It makes sense to be able to sprint with it. Why should it slow you down?

But seriously, the extra speed would make pistols more valuable to me.
