Yahel 1 Posted March 13, 2014 Hello I dont have the game yet, but just a question - does the game have a built in audio chat? or that you have to download a third party software to talk (Teamspeak,Ventrillo,Mumble. etc..) ?
DarkwaveDomina 1099 Posted March 13, 2014 (edited) The game has built-in VOIP within a short distance locally (everyone can hear it). Edit: It's probably also worth noting that the quality leaves a lot to be desired. Edited March 13, 2014 by DarkwaveDomina
killk@zoznam.sk 2 Posted March 13, 2014 When you press Caps Lock people in nearby can hear you in game.
damagefilter 34 Posted March 13, 2014 There is a built-in voice chat. It's distance based though. You can only hear people talking that are nearby. All the people. If you need privacy (for planning tactics to infiltrate a city, secret stuff) you should perhaps not use the in game voice chat. kihz 83 Posted March 13, 2014 What's cool about how they implemented the chat in this game, is even when you're in a skype call with your friends, holding caps lock (or double tapping to "lock" it), you can still speak in game. But honestly, the easiest way to go about playing with friends is using skype imo.
Yahel 1 Posted March 13, 2014 (edited) First thanks for all the quick answers, thats what i wanted to know if there is a built in chat system. Good for me! now i just need to decide if to take the risk and buy it, then hope my PC will run it on low settings. Edited March 13, 2014 by Yahel

Just type "DayZ" into the dropdown box. Make sure to click the one that isn't "DayZ Mod". Also, if you're feeling risky, there are tut's on youtube on how to improve FPS. Korsbaek 1778 Posted March 13, 2014 http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri Don't use this for DayZ! It's very inaccurate. Give us your specs instead. We can help you.
