Zombie variants!

Recommended Posts

female zombies:

+ faster and more agile

+ deals much more damage after running up and jump-attacking  (potential to make player uncouncious)

- not very well damage-resistant, dies quickly after taking damage

- louder, can be heard easily (high-pitched screeching)

male zombies:

+ stronger attack than female

+ fairly damage-resistant

+ silent, not very audible

- notices humans only if very close

- slow

soldier zombies:

+ strongest attack (potential to kill player with one hit)

+ very damage resistant, can take lots of punishment

+ can sense humans from very far away

- pretty noisy

- slow (but not slower than generic males)

more zombie variants (as long as they aren't too over-the-top) always welcome...

UH.

Isn't this kind a like, a little sterotypical?

Why does the male have to have stronger attack than the female?

Search function must be broke. This is not left for dead, or any other zombie game.

i can understand the idea behind the soldier zombie being a little more damage resistant(not alot more... body armor does not make you a tank) but otherwise... the dead are dead, they dont get stronger, they slowly get weaker due to the inability to repair damaged muscle tissue. the only strength they gain is due to the mind nolonger preventing the body from preforming things at maximum strenght to prevent injury.

you should read "how to survive a zombie apoc." its got some fairly good info on what exactly a zombie is. and im not talking about the hollywood zombies that have overtaken everything.

http://www.cracked.com/article_15643_5-scientific-reasons-zombie-apocalypse-could-actually-happen.html I swear they should sticky this link, it's so useful. Zombies are a scientific phenomenon, not magical, and not in "species". Therefore, a soldier zombie [who is stronger than your average male, but not the Incredible Hulk] would have no more chance to kill someone in one hit with his arms than any other zombie.

OP, your thinking is too video game centric. Zombies IRL wouldn't come in classes. Also, I'm no feminist and fucking hate feminists, but that there whole "women are louder and weaker" thing is pretty damn sexist.

Makes sense that male zombies would be stronger, because males are stronger than females. That's not sexist, it's just a fact. Men typically have around 10% more mass than women. Whether this is due to genetic or cultural factors is irrelevant. However, in the case of zombies I daresay that this 10% difference would be unnoticeable.

I do believe, however, that military zombies should be tougher and stronger. They have been trained and are at pique physical condition. They also likely have ballistic armour. They shouldn't be much tougher, maybe 5 - 10% tops, but it'd be nice if they weren't just as tough and as fast as your average farmer.
