Splint

Had a huge chore finding a wooden stick for my friend who accidentally fell from a scouting tower. Now I had multiple hours of game time to find it (even though theres trees everywhere..) and when I finally did I ran to my friend which took couple of hours. Now.. When I finally came up to my friend I took some rags from him and made the splint. When I applied the splint my character made it for HIMSELF!

Now I did laugh a bit. But now it's taking us even more time to find a wooden stick (which are rare as hell) and I cannot even take the splint off of my legs even though I run just fine.

Has there been any plans on making this thing a little bit more reasonable? Since it aint right now.

Look, until things are more balanced... Please, give us Medics some work and save yourself some time. You don't HAVE to go searching for hours looking for a splint... Just go here, read up on the system and get some help for your friend. http://www.reddit.com/r/redditrescueforce

Wooden sticks use 2 slots in the inventory or 3 slots when crafted to a splint. Earlier i made the mistake to throw out the sticks because i wanted the space for food, ammo or whatever looked more important to me like trivial wooden sticks. I´ve learned! ;)

Whenever i find wooden sticks i take them and leave them in the inventory, whatever it costs. Of course it´s bad luck when you are early in the game, haven´t yet found sticks and break your legs.

Morphin also cures broken legs. I wonder how a strong pain reliever can heal bones, but ok :o

Morphine will do the trick aswel as said by Lauda.

You can get berries from bushes, I think you should also be able to get sticks. Or they could just replace 80% of the books with sticks, because you know, books are so useful.

Not sure why you suggested books to be removed in place of sticks. Shouldn't we just get rid of all sticks and replace them with morphine by your logic? Also, in reality books could also be used for firewood and of course, reading.

It shouldn´t be too easy. And a book can be very useful when you let the broken legs heal over time :)

Harvesting the sticks from fir trees with a chance of 50:1 or so? Why not!?

No, that's not my logic. Both items will have different effects in the future. Not only that, but you know, there are way more sticks than morphine in the world, so yeah, not my logic.

You probably should have stated that in your first post, you made it seem like since books aren't useful and there shouldn't be that many of them.

Very nice to see that the community is really giving help to those in need. That's dedication and sounds really fun. I did find a stick in the end and heal my friend which is great :)

The medics are really helpful. Please spread the word to friends. Also I'm sure things like this will be less common as the fixes and balances to other problems arrive.
