Passworded servers.

After performing a few searches, I am unable to find any other threads pertaining to this issue. Lately, I've been noticing more and more passworded servers. How is this possible? Are servers at this point not supposed to be public?

So far, none of hem have had the password of 1234.

There are only two legal passwored servers and those are the development ones (which usually don't even have any public version) so no, I don't know how they do it but I am sure they must be public by ToS

Dont know if private hives are on, 99,99% they are regular/hc whit password to farm items and for what i got public servers cannot have a pwd.

Just report the server ip at the owner gsp.

The agreement between the DayZ staff and those to host servers on the public hive is that public servers must to open to the public. It's really fucking annoying to see a fully geared up player who obviously doesn't know how to play because he got everything on his password-protected 1 slot server before going to real public servers to be a bandit.
