Any disadvantage to running with bipod deployed?

Recommended Posts

What is my incentive to retract the bipod after using it? Does it reduce accuracy if I fire from a standing/crouched position while it is deployed?

Not as far as I know so you can leave it deployed.

And if you have a compensator or two, the bipod is redundant and can be immediately discarded as bipods make your weapon somewhat less responsive and don't stabilize the crosshairs anyways. Also bayonets serve no purpose apart from making your weapon look absurd and increasing dispersion if you have no bipod.

What do you mean by a compensator "or two?"  You can put more than one compensator on your rifle? And if I have a compensator, you're saying my weapon will be more reliable without the bipod than with?

No I just like to collect them...

-compensator: excellent accuracy in all positions

-bipod: excellent accuracy when prone and deployed, slows down weapon muzzle

-bayonet: increases dispersion

Having the bipod won't improve the accuracy if you already have a compensator, so that leaves the other thing... slows down weapon muzzle. No advantages and a minor disadvantage.

At least last time I checked, I haven't played for a while. I don't believe they've change anything. I dumped my bipod on the ground.

I loved each and every single one of your weapon statics post. And I just learned that, much appreciated, I wont look like an idiot shooting at the ground infront of me while prone anymore!
