Novigrad - Capital of Chernarus

Recommended Posts

I think when the developers finish up with the major features they should work on a map based in and around Novigrad, the capital city of the Republic of Chernarus. You could have a large mountainous area to the north of the city, possibly covered in thick snow.

The areas around the city could be filled with farms, fields maybe snow. Beyond the mountains there could be large towns, and military bases

The city could have small details such as quarantine barriers, infected hazmat suit soldiers, smoking piles of charred corpses. There could be large apartment blocks (Like Chernogorsk) in one area. Huge industrial area. Police Stations, Military Outposts, overrun Safe zones.

In my opinion, they should just expand and make the whole chernarous. Have it complete in probs 2 years, would expand the map a lot and look a lot better. Bigger map, more areas, unique capital, utes island, seriously, what more could people want then?

This sounds like an epic idea. Not only would it be good to have more than one map got the SA to keep it fresh but also give players both new and old a new piece of Chernarus to explore. I would imagine Novigrad would be the biggest hotspot on the map, as well as an excellent place for ambushes and sniping from the tall buildings.

It would be cool if there were some items unique to the map. Not many items perhaps so few hats and maybe a few vehicles and weapons. I know many people would love to explore the map looking for these items. Also it could be a map that helps elaborate on the outbreak, with documents you could find or maybe radio transmissions from a number station giving information on the outbreak.

100% Supported.

Agree. But It'd take ages

well, it is in alpha ;) - and that is what they are here for; programming an epic game.  I would rather have quality content than a rushed product.

This would be awesome...not like "oh i died imma trek back there in 5 mins..." more like "oh crap i should watch out and not die or i have to run a while or never see my corpse again due to the distances"

one massive issue is there is no way to get around other then running for a hour.

Then they add cars, they take 5 hours to fix, would be faster to walk.

Its so broken to go anywhere! A massive map would make this worse.

40 man servers... maybe that's the answer to KoS.  make it so you never see anyone.

Even with 200+ player servers it would be so sparse considering the size.
