Every single experimental server ive gone too has been looted already.

Recommended Posts

Well, I went to the very center of the map on an uncommon route and found nothing, except other desperate people looking for food who tried to kill me for a can of soda. I admit that I do not know how common this is, but my minimal experience with experimental was pretty harsh, so I'm buying OPs story here.

I think the experimental servers has quite a few teleport hackers. Every town I went to, in the course of a few hours of playing, the only buildings that were looted were the ones that had guns in them. But what made me think this even more was any place that had a gun the outside doors were closed but all the insides were looted with open doors INSIDE. Keep in mind every house that had food clothes or equipment was untouched. I know people can make it look the same without being a hacker but it was a pattern I saw at every town and military base I went to and thought it was suspicious.

Honestly that doesn't sound suspicious at all, if I carried all the food I find then I'd have no room for guns/ammo in fact I'd prolly puke eating to pick up the new food, players who already have sufficient supplies will only be searching for guns and ammo.  Closing door behind me is something I do when I either take nothing/very little from a location so that a new spawn will investigate and find food and other treasure I've left behind or if I don't want anyone to know I've been there.

Edit: In response to OP there is several places that I've taken to looting because they "Don't spawn treasure" it happened last patch or the one before, I forget where I had a building that I could loot which generally contained large amounts of food and occasionally a weapons, untill someone else discovered it and then it was all over the forums and now they get raided every time I go there.  So look harder.

I often close the doors of houses I loot, and I only loot houses with the loot I want, and I'm not a hacker. I just know where things spawn. If I want food I know that the beige house has one piece of food and one piece of footwear in the side porch (the food is on or near the table, the shoes near the door), and if I want guns I know where the guns spawns in the piano houses are. You were probably just following in the footsteps of an experienced player looking for guns.

OMG! How do you do that without your all seeing cheat mode? ;)

It's actually pretty easy.  You just draw a line from all the major cities to the NWAF and then just stand on one of the lines somewhere in between.

They come right to you. :P

i remember somewhere reading, i think it was dean, saying that he was going to try and do bold things that might not work, so that they could draw the line on what not to cross. perhaps the lack of additional servers so that there is ample enough loot for all, is part of this idea? force everyone into a smaller working space. you wouldnt be able to play on a near empty server. you would have to take risks to go where other players might be in order to find loot.. maybe?

I doubt it, but it sounds awesome.

it could just be a poor oversight, or any other idea. but if it's part of testing, good on them. ya know?

This thread really highlights just how lacking in common sense and how lazy some of the people playing the game are.

The majority of spawns are on the east coast leading up to Berez. So obviously Berezino is going to be looted fairly quickly, it's big enough so you may find enough basic stuff but really you need to head inland as crazy as it sounds. Remember that the unlike the awful stable servers (with 3hr, 1hr, 45min restarts), the experimental servers don't restart as frequently so the coast will be gutted.

So basically... get off the fucking coast and explore the map if you want loot.
